David W. Pijor, Esq. Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
David W. Pijor is an accomplished leader in the banking and legal sectors, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FVCbank. As the lead organizer, he played a pivotal role in the Bank’s establishment, which began operations on November 27, 2007. Under his leadership, FVCbank has become a trusted financial partner for business and commercial clients across Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, including Baltimore City. The Bank supports a diverse range of industries, including government contracting, nonprofits, and professional service firms.
Throughout its growth, FVCbank has embraced innovation, leveraging advanced financial technology to enhance customer experiences and deliver data-driven insights that empower businesses to operate more efficiently. With assets exceeding $2 billion, FVCbank’s success reflects the dedication of its clients, staff, and leadership team, as well as strategic acquisitions and forward-thinking oversight by its Board of Directors.
Before his career in banking, Mr. Pijor practiced law for over 30 years in the DMV, specializing in business, mergers, and international law. His passion for banking led him to co-found James Monroe Bank, where he served as Chairman and General Counsel. Under his guidance, the bank achieved extraordinary growth, reaching over $740 million in assets in just eight years before being acquired by Mercantile Bancshares in 2006, generating over tenfold returns for its initial shareholders.
Mr. Pijor earned his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics from the University of Michigan, graduating with High Distinction, and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
Patricia A. Ferrick President
With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Patricia Ferrick has built a distinguished career serving the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. She has been with FVCbank since its founding in 2007, initially as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and later advancing to President in 2018.
Before joining FVCbank, Patricia served as CFO of Potomac Bank of Virginia, where she successfully navigated its sale to Sandy Spring Bank. Her career also includes serving as CFO of Southern Financial Bank, which Provident Bank acquired, and where she stayed on as Senior Vice President for a year post-merger.
Patricia’s foundation in banking began after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. She launched her career as a CPA with KPMG, specializing in bank auditing, before taking on leadership roles as controller for several community banks, including NVR Savings, First Commonwealth, and National Cooperative Bank.
She also has a passion for giving back to the community. Patricia has recently held leadership roles in many nonprofit organizations that assist those in need, including serving as a director for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, DC, and for the Virginia Association of Community Banks.
Patricia is the Board Chair of the Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Medical Brigade provides much-needed healthcare in Honduras through its International Medical Program. At the same time, its Rural Development Program delivers improved access to clean water, strengthens healthcare services, and enhances educational opportunities in Honduras’s most vulnerable rural communities.

Alissa Curry Briggs Chief Lending Officer
Alissa joined FVCbank in 2013, having held various positions, including Executive Director of Commercial Real Estate. She has over 23 years of banking experience in all lending areas, including CRE, C & I, GovCon, and Government. She excels in interpreting and identifying local, national, and global trends that might impact the DMV market. Alissa’s solid regional market knowledge helps serve each client’s best interests through her ability to appropriately measure risk and properly structure potential opportunities to mitigate those risks in conjunction with the Bank’s tolerance. Before joining FVCbank, Alissa held positions at Cardinal Bank, PNC, and SunTrust Bank in the Washington and Atlanta markets.
She holds a B.S. degree in Economics from Florida State University.
Michael G. Nassy Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer
Mike is responsible for setting the credit culture for the Bank and overseeing all credit related activities including loan policies & procedures, concentration and stress testing, loan administration and ALLL. In addition, he is directly charged with managing the safety and soundness of the loan portfolio. He has served in various commercial lending and credit roles and has over 18 years’ experience. He is very active in his community and sits on several boards and committees for institutions such as N Street Village and The Risk Management Association (RMA). He holds a B.S. in management from St. John’s University.
Jennifer L. Deacon Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer brings over 20 years of community banking experience to FVCbank with a focus on accounting and finance. She most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Secretary with Cardinal Bank. Jennifer helped form Cardinal Bank in 1998 and grew the bank to over $4.2 billion in total assets. Prior to Cardinal Bank, she worked in the accounting departments at George Mason Bank and Patriot National Bank.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in business administration and Bachelor of Science in accounting from George Mason University. She is a certified public accountant and a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management and the VBA Executive Leadership Institute. As a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairfax, Jennifer has served on the organization’s board of directors for over 10 years.
Sharon L. Jackson Executive Vice President & Chief Banking Officer
Sharon joined FVCbank in February, 2016 and leads the retail, business development and cash management teams. Her focus is to expand the Bank’s relationships by growing the deposits for both retail and commercial customers. Throughout her 30-year banking career, she has held various positions with Virginia financial institutions, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Director of Business Development for MainStreet Bank. In addition, Sharon supports the Bank’s marketing efforts.
Sharon currently serves on the board of directors of the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, and on the board of Foundation Fighting Blindness. Sharon is a graduate of University of Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and ICBA Executive Leadership Program.
