Community bank partners with Arlington Soccer Association to sponsor programs to provide recreational and athletic activities for young people

Fairfax, Virginia – As part of its steadfast commitment to serve the community, FVCbank, named one of the 50 fastest growing companies for a third year by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, presented the L. Burwell Gunn Citizenship Award to the Arlington Soccer Association (ASA) during its Annual Shareholders Meeting yesterday to support the nonprofit organization in achieving its goal to serve young people in the area.
Since 2012, FVCbank has sponsored the soccer organization on an annual basis to help fund quality programs that provide more than 9,000 children with the opportunity to enjoy recreational, developmental and travel soccer teams as well as camps, clinics and other programs to help them improve their talents throughout the year.
FVCbank’s commitment to the program goes beyond providing sponsorship funds with the bank also offering additional deposit benefits to ASA members to help young people start youth savings accounts.
“The Arlington Soccer Associations provides a tremendous asset to the community to help our young people experience a fun recreational activity while improving their athletic skills,” said David Pijor, FVCbank chairman, president and CEO. “We are proud to continue our sponsorship of this organization. Through this support, we hope to assist our youth soccer players achieve both on and off the field.”
ASA’s programs serve people of all abilities, backgrounds and financial means to promote personal growth and love for the game in the Arlington area.
